Cast Iron – How its made

Cast iron has been used for cooking since the Roman times and, to this day, is still recognised as one of the best cookware materials due to its ability to retain and distribute heat evenly.

Cast by hand in sand moulds and finished with two coats of hardwearing enamel, each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is processed by the hands of skilled craftsmen.
